The Shield EZ design emphasizes low-effort operation with an easy-to-rack slide and tool-less takedown. This example uses an internal-hammer, single-action fire control and deletes the manual thumb safety while retaining a grip safety and a tactile loaded-chamber indicator on the slide top.
Chambered in .30 Super Carry, it offers a 10+1 capacity in a slim profile. The pistol uses a left-side magazine release and includes two factory 10-round magazines.
Dimensions are compact and carry-friendly, with a 3.675" steel barrel, approximately 6.8" overall length, and an unloaded weight of about 21.6 oz. Steel 3-dot sights are drift-adjustable in their dovetails for precise alignment.
Construction is robust, pairing a black polymer frame with M2.0-style texture for secure purchase and a steel slide and barrel finished in Armornite. An external extractor and the EZ slide geometry support reliable cycling and straightforward manipulation.
A molded 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover accepts compatible lights or lasers. Made in the USA, this is a recent addition to the M&P lineup configured specifically without a manual thumb safety.
