This M200 features a double-action/single-action system with a smooth-faced trigger and an exposed spurred hammer for confident operation. The six-round swing-out cylinder uses an S&W-style forward push cylinder latch for positive, intuitive release.
The 4-inch barrel carries a half-length ejector-rod shroud. Sights are fixed, with a ramped front blade and a square-notch rear integral to the topstrap. The rifling uses six right-hand grooves with a 1:16 RH twist.
Construction is all-steel with a uniform parkerized finish on the frame, cylinder, and receiver. Black checkered polymer grips with finger grooves offer secure purchase, and the frame displays the Rock Island Armory crest with RIA medallions in the grips.
Dimensions are practical for duty or range carry: overall length 8.875 in, width 1.5 in, and height 5.46 in, with an approximate weight of 1.76 lb. Safety is provided by a transfer-bar system with a floating firing pin.
