The NRCH (Non-Reciprocating Charging Handle) system provides dual, ambidextrous charging handles that remain stationary when firing, supporting modern manipulation without receiver contact. Ambidextrous safety and magazine release controls further accommodate right- and left-handed users.
The 16.25-inch barrel is cold hammer-forged from steel, chrome-lined, and free-floating, with a 1:7 right-hand twist to stabilize common 5.56 NATO/223 Rem projectiles. A multi-port compensator/flash hider with forward prongs is installed at the muzzle.
A monolithic aluminum upper receiver integrates a full-length MIL-STD-1913 top rail, with additional accessory rails at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. Folding iron sights include a gas-block-mounted front sight and an adjustable rear sight.
The side-folding, 6-position stock features an adjustable comb, adjustable length of pull with index numerals, and a rubber buttpad. The polymer lower, FDE furniture, and Multicam-finished receiver and trigger module give the rifle a cohesive factory-applied camo appearance. The receiver is marked "FN COLUMBIA, SC USA," and selector markings are "S" and "1" with the FN oval logo.
