Built in the USA as part of Remington’s 500-series rimfires produced from 1939 to 1963, it retains period-correct details including a non-grooved receiver top and a turned-down bolt handle.

The Model 511P Scoremaster is the peep-sight variant of Remington’s 511, equipped from the factory with a receiver-mounted aperture rear sight with click-adjustment knobs and no rear barrel sight. The barrel is rollmarked "Remington", "SCOREMASTER", and ".22 SHORT, LONG OR LONG RIFLE.", reflecting its original factory designation.
This example has a 25-inch barrel and a detachable 5-round steel box magazine for a 5+1 stated capacity. The receiver top is not grooved for tip-off scope mounts, consistent with early production features, and it uses a turned-down bolt handle with right-side ejection.
The hardwood stock has a semi-pistol-grip profile and rounded fore-end, with no checkering. It is fitted with a black composition buttplate and a white-line spacer. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches, offering a comfortable reach for many shooters.
