The MDT LSS-XL aluminum chassis in Flat Dark Earth provides a rigid foundation with M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom for accessory placement. The stock assembly is adjustable for cheek height and length of pull and includes an adjustable recoil pad. The current length of pull is set at 14.25 inches.
The 24-inch carbon-steel barrel is heavy, fluted, and threaded, and it is equipped with a muzzle brake. It uses 5R rifling with a 1:8 twist to stabilize common 6.5 Creedmoor bullet weights; the breech face is marked 5R.
A receiver-top EGW 20-MOA one-piece Picatinny rail is installed for mounting optics. The right-hand bolt features an oversized round knob for confident manipulation, and the user-adjustable Savage AccuTrigger allows fine-tuning to shooter preference.
The rifle accepts AICS-pattern detachable magazines and includes one 5-round Magpul PMAG. Capacity is 5+1. This model is part of Savage’s Precision Series and is made in the USA.
