The SCR-11 uses a billet receiver set with an enlarged integral trigger guard and a flared magwell, right-side ejection with a dust cover, and no forward assist. Controls are well thought out, including an ambidextrous safety and JP’s left-side folding side-charging handle for fast, unobstructed manipulation.
Its 16 inch JP Supermatch barrel is marked "SUPERMATCH WYLDE 1-8 TWIST" and uses a .223 Wylde chamber, allowing the use of both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO. A JP multi-port muzzle brake is pinned and welded to the threaded barrel, and a red JP Thermal Dissipator is visible under the handguard to help manage barrel heat.
The operating system is semi-automatic, direct impingement, and this rifle is equipped with JP’s LMOS bolt carrier group and a JP silent buffer, a combination known for smooth cycling and refined recoil characteristics. The T-marked Picatinny top rail provides alignment reference points along the upper.
