Built on the S&W X-Frame, this Model 500 pairs a 4-inch barrel with a five-shot fluted cylinder for a compact, heavy-duty configuration. It is chambered in .500 S&W Magnum and is also compatible with .500 S&W Special cartridges.
The barrel system uses a two-piece, tensioned barrel/shroud design and a factory ported, interchangeable muzzle brake. A spare factory brake is included, offering flexibility in setup.
Controls and sighting are set up for precise, repeatable use: a smooth trigger face, an exposed hammer with a checkered spur, and a checkered cylinder release latch. The sight picture comes from a red/orange ramp front and a square-notch adjustable rear.
The revolver is all stainless steel, including the frame, cylinder, and barrel, with a brushed/matte stainless finish. Black textured rubber finger-groove grips with S&W medallions provide a secure hold.
