The Pony PO 380 is a compact, locked-breech .380 ACP, offering a 6+1 capacity in a slender single-stack format. Its steel construction and blued finish on the slide, frame, and receiver give it a traditional look and solid feel.
Controls are straightforward and purposeful: single-action-only operation with a manual thumb safety and a half-cock notch, an external spur hammer, and a checkered magazine release. The vertical rear slide serrations aid manipulation, and the slightly extended beavertail-style tang helps with grip.
Sighting is handled by a fixed front blade and a windage-adjustable rear notch, providing a durable setup with the ability to fine-tune horizontal point of impact. Checkered wood grips add texture and a classic profile.
Notable details include the Jacksonville, Arkansas slide rollmark and an IJ-prefix serial range tied to later Iver Johnson production. A fixed lanyard loop at the butt and approximately 6.25-inch overall length with a 20 oz unloaded weight round out this compact package. The original factory box (marked Pony / PO 380) and owner's manual are included, along with three 6-round magazines.
