The Micro 9 Stainless is built around a 3.15 in ramped stainless steel barrel with a 1:16 LH twist and a full-length guide rod, combining reliable feeding with durable construction. Both the slide and aluminum alloy frame wear a satin silver finish for a uniform appearance and corrosion resistance.
Its operating system is single-action-only and hammer-fired, with a solid curved trigger and a skeletonized, rounded hammer. Safety features include a left-side manual thumb safety and a firing pin safety, and the slide can be racked with the safety engaged.
Controls and sights are streamlined for carry and clarity. The slide has rear cocking serrations with no front serrations. Sights are fixed steel 3-dot and drift-adjustable, with a dovetailed white-dot front and a dovetailed two-dot rear. The magazine release is checkered for positive operation.
Ergonomics include checkered wood grip panels with the Kimber logo, a textured backstrap with a smooth frontstrap, and a beavertail/tang with a slight undercut.
