It features LPA Italy ghost-ring sights, an OEM collapsible/telescoping stock with adjustable length of pull, and an enlarged bolt-release pad installed. The M4 Tactical uses Benelli’s semi-automatic A.R.G.O. short-stroke dual-piston gas system with a rotating bolt. This configuration pairs an 18.5" steel barrel with 2 3/4" and 3" chambers and a full-length 7+1 tubular magazine.
Sighting equipment includes a protected front post and an adjustable LPA Italy ghost-ring rear. An integral Picatinny top rail is mounted to the receiver. Factory markings include a receiver marked "m4" and a bolt marked "Benelli Armi System."
The OEM stock is the collapsible/telescoping polymer unit with an integral pistol grip and adjustable length of pull (approx. 9–14 in). A notched receiver extension supports the stock positions. Ribbed two-piece polymer handguards and a front sling plate at the barrel/magazine clamp are fitted.
Finished in matte black, the alloy receiver is matte anodized, while the barrel and magazine tube exhibit a matte/phosphate-type finish. Italian proof marks are present along with the IT24 date code and Benelli U.S.A. import legend "Benelli U.S.A. Corp - Accokeek MD - MADE IN ITALY" and "BENELLI - ITALY." This is a recent-release example configured in the Tactical submodel with the noted features and the installed enlarged bolt-release pad.
