The M&P9 Shield EZ M2.0 is an internal hammer-fired, single-action 9mm designed for straightforward operation. Its 3.675 in stainless steel barrel and stainless slide wear S&W's black Armornite finish for corrosion resistance and a uniform appearance. The compact profile balances shootability with carry-friendly dimensions.
Slide manipulation features include large scalloped rear serrations, shallow forward grasping scallops, and enlarged rear grasping ears. The included Shield EZ magazines have load-assist tabs to simplify charging. An integrated accessory rail allows mounting compatible lights or accessories.
Controls are intuitive and consistent: left-side slide stop and takedown lever, and a left-side magazine release. Safety features include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, a grip safety, and a firing pin block. The pistol is capable of firing with the magazine removed (no magazine disconnect).
The dovetailed iron sights consist of a front post with a white dot and a rear notch that is drift-adjustable for windage. Both sights are set in dovetails for secure retention and serviceability.
