The Rival-S uses a forged and machined steel frame finished in chrome, giving it full-size heft and stability. An integral Picatinny accessory rail is machined into the dustcover for mounting compatible lights or accessories. Import markings read CENTURY ARMS INC GEORGIA, VT, with manufacture in Turkey.
The 5 in straight-fluted barrel is visible through a long top window and side lightening cuts on the chrome slide. Front and rear serrations aid manipulation, and a striker status indicator is located at the rear.
Sight setup consists of a red fiber-optic front and a black square-notch adjustable rear. The rear sight is integrated into a removable plate that provides the optics-ready interface, and the pistol includes factory adapter plates with mounting hardware.
Controls and ergonomics feature a flat-faced aluminum trigger with a safety tab and trigger safety system, a left-side magazine release, and replaceable textured grip panels with the "RIVAL" motif. A flared aluminum magwell speeds reloads, and capacity is 18+1 with the included steel magazines.
