This early-1990s Smith & Wesson Model 29-5 Classic is a pre-lock, blued .44 Magnum revolver featuring the -5 endurance-package updates and a 6.5 inch full-underlug barrel with a serrated rib. It uses the interchangeable front-sight system with a green fiber-optic blade currently installed and a micrometer-adjustable rear sight. Aftermarket one-piece rubber finger-groove stocks with S&W medallions are installed. Chambered in .44 Rem Magnum, it also chambers .44 Special.

Its 6.5 inch full-underlug barrel with a serrated rib provides the classic 29 profile, and the interchangeable front-sight base currently wears a green fiber-optic blade. A micrometer-adjustable rear sight supports precise elevation and windage adjustments.
The double-action/single-action system is paired with a wide, smooth-faced trigger and an exposed hammer for confident control. Capacity is six rounds.
Construction is blued carbon steel for the frame/receiver with a blued steel cylinder. Markings include “MOD. 29-5” on the crane cut and “29 Classic” and “.44 Magnum” on the barrel. A T-prefix serial range aligns with early 1990s production, and assembly number “325” is observed inside the frame window. The revolver is chambered in .44 Rem Magnum and also accepts .44 Special.
