Winchester Model 94 Lone Star Commemorative .30-30, 26 Inch Half-Octagon Barrel, Gold-Finished Receiver (1970 Texas Statehood 125th Anniversary)
This Winchester Model 94 Lone Star Commemorative marks the 125th anniversary of Texas statehood (1845–1970). Built in New Haven, it features a bright gold-colored receiver with factory engraving, a 26 inch half-octagon/half-round polished blued barrel inscribed "LONE STAR COMMEMORATIVE," and a shortened half magazine with 4-round capacity. The LS-prefix serial block identifies it as part of the 1970 commemorative issue.
The receiver is engraved with a five-point star flanked by "1845" and "1970," bordered by rows of small stars. The rifle includes a saddle ring on the left receiver, smooth walnut furniture with an inlaid Lone Star medallion depicting Houston, Austin, Travis, Bowie, and Crockett, and a crescent brass buttplate. Traditional iron sights include a dovetailed blade front and a semi-buckhorn rear with elevator.

Overall Condition: Fair condition, showing extensive signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Overall Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Specific Condition Notes: The lever loop has lateral play that prevents firing because the safety detent is not being depressed. There is finish loss on the lever loop and receiver. Light scratches and small dents are present on the stock and forearm. Random numbers are engraved on the bottom of the receiver under the lever. Markings and scratches from prior handling and use are visible.

This commemorative Model 94 was produced for the 125th anniversary of Texas statehood and uses the LS-prefix serial block designated for the Lone Star series. The receiver, lever, forend cap, and magazine cap are finished in a bright gold color, paired with factory engraving that showcases a central five-point star and the dates "1845" and "1970."
The 26 inch barrel is polished blued steel with a half-octagon/half-round profile. It is rollmarked "WINCHESTER MODEL 94 30-30 WIN. / MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL" and is inscribed "LONE STAR COMMEMORATIVE." A shortened tubular half magazine provides a 4-round capacity.
Stock and forearm are smooth walnut. The right butt carries an inlaid Lone Star medallion depicting Houston, Austin, Travis, Bowie, and Crockett, and the rifle is fitted with a crescent brass buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.25 inches.
Sighting equipment consists of a dovetailed blade front sight and a semi-buckhorn rear sight with an elevator. A saddle ring is mounted on the left side of the receiver. This is a factory-engraved, limited-edition issue manufactured in New Haven, Connecticut.
