The Lite Rack system combines cocking ears and a reduced spring rate to make slide manipulation easier, and the pistol locks open on an empty magazine. Front and rear cocking serrations provide additional purchase.
The blowback-operated, single-action design uses Ruger's Secure Action trigger with an integrated trigger safety. Controls include a left-side magazine release along with a manual thumb safety, magazine disconnect, and hammer catch.
Construction pairs a blued alloy-steel slide with a stainless-steel 2.81 in barrel and a black glass-filled nylon frame. Sights are fixed and integral, with a front blade and rear notch.
