This CS9 is a compact, all-metal 3rd-Generation S&W with a dehorned, snag-resistant profile. It uses a 7+1 single-stack design around a 3-inch barrel, delivering a slim footprint and straightforward handling in a subcompact 9mm platform.
The slide is stainless with a slide-mounted safety/decocker and external extractor, while the frame is a matte light-tone aluminum alloy to reduce weight. Fixed, low-mount 3-dot sights provide a clean sight picture, and the one-piece wraparound textured synthetic grip with S&W medallions offers secure purchase.
Operation is recoil-operated DA/SA with both a manual safety and decocker. A bobbed, spurless hammer and dehorned edges support snag-resistant draws. Markings include "9MM PARABELLUM" on the barrel hood and "MOD CS9" on the frame.
