The Rough Rider operates in single-action only and uses a right-side loading gate with a rod ejector capped by a crescent head. It carries a six-shot fluted cylinder and fixed sights consisting of a fixed blade front and an integral square-notch rear.
The revolver wears a blued finish, with the cylinder finished to match, and the hammer left in-the-white. Smooth two-piece hardwood grips complete the traditional western-style profile.
It is currently configured for .22 LR and holds six rounds. The 6.5 inch alloy steel barrel provides a solid sight radius, and the bore presents clean rifling consistent with the stated condition.
Controls include an exposed hammer and a manual hammer-block safety. The overall package reflects Heritage Manufacturing’s straightforward rimfire single-action design made in the USA.
A spare .22 WMR cylinder is included in the box but is not installed. The revolver is presently set up for .22 LR use.
