This rifle uses the large-ring Mauser 98-pattern receiver with a straight bolt handle and cock-on-open operation. It feeds from an internal 5+1 box magazine and employs a three-position flag safety, reflecting the classic Mauser manual of arms.
The 29.1 in barrel is paired with iron sights: a tangent ladder rear and an unhooded front blade, providing the period-correct sighting arrangement for the platform.
The full-length hardwood stock includes two barrel bands, a separate nose cap, sling swivels at the lower band and toe, a brass stock disk, and a short top handguard. A cleaning-rod channel is present; rod not included.
Receiver markings include the Turkish crescent-and-star crest with "T.C. ASFA ANKARA K. KALE" on the ring. An import stamp near the muzzle reads "CAI ST. ALB.
