The EMP 4 Lightweight Champion uses a downsized 1911 architecture tuned for 9mm and fed by proprietary EMP-specific single-stack magazines. Capacity is 10+1 with the included 10-round magazine. The compact format maintains familiar 1911 controls while delivering a streamlined, carryable profile.
The 4" stainless steel barrel is match-grade, bull, and bushingless, with a ramped, fully supported chamber and a loaded-chamber witness hole. A full-length guide rod with reverse plug and a lowered ejection port support consistent function.
Its two-tone finish pairs a satin stainless slide with a black hard-coat anodized forged aluminum alloy frame. The grip interface combines Posi-Lok deep-dimple frontstrap texturing, a checkered flat mainspring housing, and thinline checkered cocobolo panels with the Springfield crest.
Controls and fire-control components include a skeletonized combat hammer and a skeletonized long aluminum trigger with lightening cuts. Safety features consist of a thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory pad.
Sight alignment is quick and clear with an orange fiber-optic front and a low-profile two-dot rear that is drift-adjustable and dovetailed. The slide carries rear cocking serrations, and the dust cover is plain with no accessory rail. Made in the United States; model code PI9211L.
