The P2000 V3 configuration delivers a traditional DA/SA trigger with a rear-mounted decocker and a spurred external hammer. Ambidextrous controls include paddle-style magazine releases and slide releases on both sides, making operation intuitive for right- or left-handed users.
The 3.66 in cold hammer-forged barrel uses polygonal rifling for durability and consistency. Trijicon 3-dot tritium night sights (H3 22) provide clear, low-light aiming, and the sight radius is approximately 5.59 in.
Built on a fiber-reinforced polymer frame with an integral accessory rail, the P2000 pairs a robust Hostile Environment nitrocarburized slide finish with a textured grip and interchangeable backstraps for a tailored fit. The external extractor has a red witness mark and serves as a loaded-chamber indicator.
German CIP N and DE proof marks are present, and the slide bears the HKI–Columbus, GA importer marking. The slide, barrel, and frame have triple-matching serial numbers. Standard 9mm capacity is 13+1.
