Made in Italy and proofed at Gardone Val Trompia, this Mod. 100 carries Italian proof marks and the boxed Roman-numeral date code "XX8" confirming 1972 production. The right slide is marked "P.B. - MOD. 100 - MADE IN ITALY," while the left slide reads "PIETRO BERETTA GARDONE V.T.
CAL. 7.65." The pistol bears the BERBEN N.Y., N.Y. import mark for the U.S. market.
Chambered in .32 ACP (7.65 Browning), the pistol uses a straight-blowback, single-action system with an external spurred hammer and a manual thumb safety. The trademark open-top slide aids reliable ejection and contributes to the model’s recognizable 70-Series profile.
The 6-inch heavy, target-profile barrel is paired with a ramped blade front sight set on a barrel-mounted base. At the rear, a micrometer-style screw-adjustable notch allows precise sight regulation. This configuration provides a clear, finely tunable sight picture.
The frame and slide are polished blued steel, complemented by black checkered synthetic grips with Beretta medallions. Overall fit and finish are consistent with 70-Series standards, presenting a full-size format with well-executed controls and markings.
