The Ruger-57 is a full-size semi-automatic chambered in 5.7x28mm with a 20+1 capacity, fed by durable steel double-stack magazines. A reversible magazine release supports left- or right-handed use.
Its action is a delayed-blowback design with an internal lever, paired with Ruger's Secure Action internal-hammer, single-action mechanism. Safety features include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety and a trigger safety blade.
The 4.94 in alloy-steel barrel has a black nitride finish with 8-groove rifling and a 1:9 RH twist. The bore condition is excellent, and the pistol features a green fiber-optic front sight and a windage- and elevation-adjustable serrated rear sight.
The black oxide slide carries front and rear serrations and a top lightening window.
