It retains ghost-ring rear and fiber-optic front sights and adds an extended forend with QD sockets and M-LOK slots.

This 940 Pro Tactical SPX uses a gas-operated, semi-automatic action with a 7+1 capacity and chambers for 2 3/4 in and 3 in 12-gauge shells. The 18.5 in barrel is Accu-Choke threaded, and the shotgun retains robust iron sights: a ghost-ring rear with protective wings and a ramped fiber-optic front.
Controls are enlarged for confident handling, including an oversized, knurled charging handle and an enlarged bolt-release button. The top-tang safety is easy to access, and the extended synthetic forend features an integral heat-shield profile, QD sockets, and M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. A one-piece extended magazine tube pairs with a barrel/mag clamp that adds M-LOK slots and a sling swivel stud.
The receiver is aluminum with an OD green finish and is factory optic-cut to the RMSc pattern and drilled/tapped. The sale includes Mossberg's optic adapter plate kit, providing mounting options beyond the RMSc cut if desired.
Black synthetic furniture keeps weight manageable at approximately 7.25 lb. Length of pull is set at 13.5 in and can be tuned approximately 12.5–14.25 in using included spacers. A recoil pad and a shim system for cast/comb adjustments help tailor the fit.
Internals such as the piston, magazine tube, hammer, and sear receive a nickel-boron coating. OD-green metalwork paired with black furniture gives this U.S.-made SPX a clean, modern presentation. The installed Vang Comp 6-shell Velcro card adds convenient on-gun ammunition carriage.
