Made in the United States under license from Carl Walther, this Interarms-marked PPK/S carries rollmarks identifying its origin: Walther — Made in USA; Under License of Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do.; Interarms, Alexandria, Virginia. The PPK/S variant combines the PPK upper with the PP frame, a configuration created to comply with 1968 GCA import point requirements.
The pistol uses the PP-series fixed-barrel, straight blowback system and a DA/SA action. Controls include a slide-mounted safety/decocker and a loaded chamber indicator, with the indicator pin visible at the rear of the slide.
Sighting is straightforward and durable, with fixed sights consisting of a short ramped front blade and a square-notch rear. The slide has vertical rear serrations for positive manipulation, and the hammer is the traditional external spurred type.
