What’s Included
- Colt Cobra First Issue .38 Special revolver
The First Issue Cobra pairs an aluminum-alloy frame with a blued steel barrel and fluted cylinder to deliver a classic Colt snubnose profile. This example is chambered in .38 Special with a 2-inch barrel and a six-round cylinder, and it operates in double-action/single-action with a smooth-face trigger and an exposed, checkered-spur hammer.
Sighting is straightforward and durable with an integral ramped front sight and a milled topstrap groove at the rear. The top rib is longitudinally serrated to cut glare and guide the eye along the sighting plane.
Markings are crisp and period-correct, including the barrel rollmark "COBRA .38 SPECIAL CTG." and the Rampant Colt logo on the frame. The two-piece checkered wood stocks are classic in appearance and notably lack Colt medallions, as observed on this configuration.
A C-prefix serial is present, consistent with early production, with a small "S" stamp located separately below it (not part of the serial). This revolver also features a full-length barrel lug that shrouds the ejector rod, adding protection and giving the front end a clean, continuous profile.
