This J.C. Higgins Model 101.1 is a Sears, Roebuck & Company-marked, single-shot 12 gauge with a 30 inch steel barrel and a fixed F choke. It features an exposed-hammer, top-lever break action with a mechanical extractor and a 2 3/4 inch chamber. Markings include "Selected Forged Steel" and "Proof Tested," and it is OEM-equivalent to the Savage/Stevens Model 94.
