The 950BS Minx -4 is the long-barrel variant with a 3.75 in steel, tip-up barrel that provides direct chamber access. Its simple blowback, single-action-only system combines with an external spurred hammer for precise manual control in a very compact package.
This U.S.-produced example bears the correct "MADE IN U.S.A., BERETTA USA CORP., ACKK, MD." markings and was manufactured in Accokeek, Maryland. The slide wears a blued finish, while the aluminum alloy frame is black anodized. Factory black checkered plastic grips with Beretta medallions complete the classic configuration.
Controls include a frame-mounted thumb safety with a red fire dot indicator, plus internal safeguards such as an inertia firing pin and sear-block safety. The heel-type magazine release preserves the pistol's slim, snag-resistant lines.
The Minx .22 Short design omits an extractor, ejecting via blowback pressure and a fixed ejector. Fixed sights consist of a front blade integral to the barrel and a rear notch in the slide, suited to the pistol's micro size and intended role.
