The VP9 uses a striker-fired, short-recoil, locked-breech system paired with a 4.1" non-threaded, hammer-forged barrel featuring polygonal rifling. Capacity is 17+1 with the included 17-round steel magazines. The black polymer frame and black slide present a cohesive, duty-ready finish.
Ambidextrous controls include paddle-style magazine releases and slide-stop levers. The modular grip system comes with interchangeable backstraps and side panels to fine-tune fit, and a lanyard recess at the heel supports secure retention.
The slide includes forward and rear cocking serrations, an external extractor, and a right-side ejection port. It carries fixed three-dot sights with a high-visibility front dot and a low-profile rear notch. The slide is non-optic-cut as configured.
Origin and markings are clear: German proof marks with "DE" appear on the barrel hood, and the importer is marked "HKI – Columbus, GA." The pistol integrates a Picatinny-type accessory rail with four slots, and a red striker status indicator at the rear of the slide. The serial number is repeated on the barrel hood, slide, and frame.
