The P2000 V2 LEM pairs HK's Law Enforcement Modification (LEM) double-action-only trigger with a compact 9mm platform and 13+1 capacity. It is German-made and marked with DE country and CIP nitro proof stamps, and it bears the HKI-Columbus, GA import mark. The slide, barrel, and related steel parts wear HK's Hostile Environment nitrocarburized finish.
Controls are fully ambidextrous where it matters: paddle-style magazine release and slide release levers on both sides. The slide features an external extractor and loaded chamber indicator. Sights are fixed white contrast dots with a drift-adjustable rear for windage and a front blade with a single white dot.
The 3.66 in barrel uses polygonal rifling and the pistol operates via a short-recoil, modified Browning locked-breech system. The fiber-reinforced polymer frame keeps weight down while providing durability, and the interchangeable backstraps allow the grip to be tailored to the shooter.
A universal accessory rail with a single cross-slot on the dust cover supports compatible lights or other accessories. This pistol accepts USP Compact-pattern 9mm magazines and includes two 13-round HK steel magazines.
