This Italian-made Beretta Cougar 8045F is a compact, .45 ACP DA/SA pistol built around Beretta's short-recoil rotating barrel system. It features a cold hammer forged 3.7-inch barrel, fixed Trijicon three-dot night sights, and an aluminum alloy frame with frontstrap serrations. It comes with three 8-round magazines and the Beretta factory blue hard case.

The Cougar 8045F is the standard non-rail configuration with a steel, closed-top slide finished in a black, Bruniton-type protective coating. The slide uses an external extractor and rear cocking serrations. Controls include a slide-mounted safety/decocker and an exposed spur hammer, consistent with the DA/SA operating system.
Its 3.7-inch cold hammer forged barrel uses a short-recoil rotating design, a hallmark of the Cougar series. The barrel has 6 right-hand grooves with a 250 mm pitch, and this example shows a partial serial-number match to the frame.
The alloy frame wears a matte black finish and includes practical grip enhancements such as frontstrap serrations and a squared, serrated trigger guard. Black checkered polymer grip panels with Beretta medallions complete the handling package.
Sights are fixed Trijicon three-dot night sights. Magazines are factory-style 8-round units marked "45 AUTO" with witness holes, giving the pistol an 8+1 capacity. Proof and import markings include Italian PSF and Gardone proofs, along with a Beretta U.S.A. Corp., Accokeek, MD import mark and PB logo.
