The 16-inch barrel is marked ".308 WIN 1/10 5R" and is made from 4140 steel with 5R rifling to support consistent performance with .308 loads. It is threaded and fitted with an A2-style birdcage flash suppressor for standard muzzle device compatibility.
Receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard-coat anodized finish. The rifle uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement operating system. It features an ambidextrous safety selector and ambidextrous magazine release with SAFE/FIRE markings on both sides, an ejection-port cover, and a flat-top Picatinny rail with T-markings (T2–T14) and an S&W marking on the forward rail block. The upper receiver is configured without a forward assist.
The handguard is a MOE-pattern, two-piece drop-in polymer unit with M-LOK slots for accessory mounting. A UTG vertical foregrip and a rail-mounted folding bipod are installed for immediate field use. The rifle also includes an aftermarket rubberized finger-groove pistol grip for enhanced purchase. Bipod and UTG Foregrip installed.
The FAB Defense GL-SHOCK adjustable stock provides an integrated recoil-reduction spring, a QD sling socket, and an approximate length-of-pull range of 11.75–15 inches. The platform accepts SR-25/DPMS-pattern magazines, and this rifle comes with both a 40-round and a 20-round polymer magazine for a listed capacity of 40+1.
