The M&P 5.7 uses Smith & Wesson’s Tempo gas-operated locked-breech rotary-barrel system with a shrouded outer barrel. This design pairs with an internal-hammer, single-action mechanism and a flat-faced trigger for a consistent, predictable break.
The 5.0" stainless steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 TPI and includes a thread protector, making it ready for compatible muzzle devices. The slide wears a black Armornite finish with front and rear serrations for positive manipulation. Metal three-dot iron sights are standard.
This full-size pistol offers a 22+1 capacity in 5.7x28mm and comes with two steel magazines marked 5.7x28. Overall length is 8.5 in, height is 5.25 in, width is 1.1 in, and weight is approximately 26.7 oz.
The durable polymer frame features textured grips with S&W medallions and an accessory rail for lights or other rail-mounted equipment.
