What’s Included
- Original case
Produced circa 1999–2003, the Colt Cowboy was engineered as a Colt-made, SAA-style revolver tuned for the Cowboy Action market. This revolver dates to 2000 and retains the traditional look and handling with a full-size profile and a 5.5 in barrel in .45 Colt.
Its transfer-bar ignition and frame-mounted firing pin enable safe carry of all six chambers while preserving single-action-only operation. The hammer is known for producing three audible clicks, reflecting the Cowboy’s internal design distinct from the traditional four-click pattern.
Construction is all steel, with a color case-hardened frame and receiver paired to blued barrel and cylinder. It features a six-shot fluted cylinder, an ejector-rod housing on the right side with a button-style head, and a checkered spur hammer for positive cocking.
Sighting is straightforward and durable: a fixed front blade and a fixed rear topstrap groove. The revolver wears checkered black synthetic grips with the molded Rampant Colt oval. Markings include "COLT COWBOY .45 COLT" and "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG.
