- Smith & Wesson Model 442-2 Airweight .38 Special revolver
- Installed Crimson Trace Lasergrips (black rubber, laser-integrated)
The 442-2 Airweight features an aluminum-alloy frame with a matte black finish paired to a black-finished steel cylinder and steel barrel. It is rated for .38 Special +P and uses a five-shot, fluted cylinder, blending strength where it counts with a lightweight carry profile.
The action is double-action-only with an internal (enclosed) hammer and an internal keyed lock. Sights are fixed, with an integral ramped front and a top-strap groove rear. The top strap has anti-glare serrations to help maintain a clean sight picture.
The 1.875 in barrel uses a short underlug and a knurled ejector-rod tip for positive extraction. The compact format and enclosed hammer support snag-free draw and straightforward operation in a double-action role.
Factory markings include "Airweight" on the frame and "442-2" on the yoke. This example is customized with Crimson Trace Lasergrips in black rubber, integrating a laser into the grip frame for an additional aiming reference. Made in the United States.
