The TACOPS series configuration delivers a full-size 5-inch 1911 in .45 ACP with an 8+1 capacity. This example is U.S.-made and rollmarked "SIG SAUER INC., NEWINGTON–NH–USA," reflecting its Newington, New Hampshire origin. The included two 8-round magazines support the platform's standard capacity.
An aftermarket distressed gray/black refinish on both the slide and frame gives this pistol a distinctive look. The finish is not factory-applied and presents an intentionally weathered aesthetic across the exterior surfaces.
The slide is set up with practical features: an external extractor, a lowered and flared ejection port, a flat-top profile, and front and rear cocking serrations. Fixed dovetailed Novak-style 3-dot sights front and rear provide a straightforward sight picture.
Controls and ergonomics include an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety. A flared magazine well funnel speeds reloads, while frontstrap and flat mainspring housing checkering enhance purchase. The pistol uses textured black G10-style SIG-medallion panels.
The fire-control setup features a skeletonized commander-style hammer and a skeletonized long trigger with an X-cut pattern. The bore is clean with sharp rifling, aligning with the overall well-cared-for condition.
