The XD-40 Sub-Compact delivers .40 S&W performance in a micro-size package with a 3 inch hammer-forged barrel for durability and consistent accuracy. Its forged steel slide wears a black Melonite finish for corrosion resistance and long-term service.
Factory Trijicon 3-dot tritium night sights (H3 06 front and rear) provide a bright, low-light aiming solution. The slide includes rear serrations for confident manipulation, plus a loaded-chamber indicator and a striker-status indicator for quick visual and tactile checks.
This striker-fired, semi-automatic design integrates a grip safety and trigger safety, along with a dual captive recoil spring on a full-length guide rod to manage recoil in the short-slide format. The polymer frame features textured grip panels and an integral single-slot accessory rail on the dustcover.
Chambered in .40 S&W with a 12+1 capacity, it comes with both an extended 12-round magazine and a flush-fit 9-round magazine. The case label references the night-sight "06 Package" SKU XD9832HCSP06. Marked "SPRINGFIELD INC. GENESEO, IL — MADE IN CROATIA," it is manufactured in Croatia by HS Produkt and imported by Springfield Armory.
