Built by High Standard for Sears, the Model 20 pairs a steel receiver and barrel with walnut furniture for a straightforward, durable pump gun. It features a ribbed walnut forend and a walnut stock with a pistol-grip profile and a J.C. Higgins-branded ventilated recoil pad. Length of pull measures 14.0".
The 22" steel barrel wears a vent rib with matted anti-glare serrations, matched by similar serrations on the receiver top. A brass bead front sight provides a clear aiming point. The gun ejects to the right.
An external vented muzzle device with a knurled retaining ring is fitted at the muzzle. Per factory literature, this setup is compatible with screw-in Short, Medium, and Long Range tubes.
Operation is pump-action with a double-locking bolt, automatic trigger lock, and a trigger safety. Declared capacity is 2+1 rounds of 12 Gauge.
