The Spectrum pairs a compact 2.8 inch barrel with a 6+1 capacity in a micro-size format. Its DAO striker-fired action with double-strike capability provides a consistent trigger pull and immediate restrike if needed. The Browning-type locked-breech design is purpose-built for the .380 ACP chambering.
Controls are streamlined with a left-side, button-style magazine release. The fixed, low-profile integral sights include an integral rear notch and an integral front post with a red dot insert for straightforward alignment.
Handling is enhanced by Soft-Touch overmold panels on both the slide and the frame. The frame is polymer, finished in black with tan Soft-Touch grip panels featuring the Taurus logo, and the slide wears a matte black finish.
Maintenance is simple thanks to a tool-less rotary takedown knob that does not require a trigger press for disassembly. The frame is marked Miami, FL, reflecting U.S. manufacture.
This example represents the discontinued Spectrum line and includes two factory 6-round magazines with both flush and finger-rest baseplates, giving options for carry profile and grip length.
