What's Included
- Armi San. Marco Dragoon 3rd Model .44 percussion revolver
Built as a faithful reproduction, this 3rd Model Dragoon retains the open-top Colt-style architecture with a six-shot percussion cylinder and a wedge-retained barrel assembly. The revolver is clearly marked "BLACK POWDER ONLY," aligning it with traditional cap-and-ball operation.
The 7.5" octagon-to-round barrel is secured by a wedge and paired with an under-barrel loading lever and latch for seating round ball or conical projectiles. Fixed sights consist of a brass blade front and a hammer notch rear, with single-action operation consistent with the Dragoon pattern.
Finishes are period-correct, with a color case-hardened steel frame and blued barrel and cylinder. The cylinder carries a factory roll-engraved battle scene. Furniture includes a rounded brass trigger guard, a blued steel backstrap, and a one-piece walnut grip for a traditional profile.
Manufactured in Italy and marked "MADE IN ITALY," this example dates to the 1970s era (1977). Matching serial numbers are observed on major components, reinforcing set originality.
