The 12.5 in barrel is 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium steel with a nitride finish, heavy profile, and 6-groove rifling in a 1:8 RH twist. It is threaded and fitted with an A2 birdcage flash hider secured by a crush washer.
The Zion-15 uses a semi-automatic, direct impingement system with a mid-length gas setup. Receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard-anodized black finish. An IWI-marked nitride bolt carrier group, forward assist, brass deflector, and ejection-port dust cover are included.
The free-float 11.5 in aluminum M-LOK handguard provides ample attachment space and aligns with a continuous 1913 Picatinny top rail spanning the upper and handguard. A dual QD M-LOK sling mount is already installed.
Ergonomics and controls include an adjustable brace, B5 Systems grip, and a manual safety. The STANAG-pattern magazine interface supports the included 30-round magazines for a 30+1 capacity.
