The New Agent configuration delivers a compact, true 1911 platform with a micro-size 3-inch barrel and a 7+1 capacity in .45 ACP. Its lightweight build pairs a steel slide with a black-finished aluminum-alloy frame to reduce carry weight while retaining a traditional single-action, short-recoil, hammer-fired operating system.
The slide is dehorned and uses rear vertical cocking serrations only, complementing the integral trench/gutter sight channel that runs the length of the topstrap. There are no separate front or rear sight blades, keeping the profile clean and snag-resistant.
Controls and safeties include a left-side thumb safety, grip safety, and a Series 80/90 firing-pin safety. A Commander-style rowel hammer and a skeletonized, three-hole, long silver anodized trigger complete the factory setup.
Grip panels are checkered hardwood with gold Colt medallions, and the front strap is smooth. The slide bears 'COLT NEW AGENT / SERIES 90' and 'LIGHTWEIGHT' markings alongside the Hartford, Connecticut roll mark. This pistol was manufactured in 2009 in the United States.
