The Garrison series centers on forged strength and traditional styling. This pistol uses a forged carbon-steel frame and slide with a hot-salt blued finish that combines polished flats and matte rounds for a classic 1911 look and feel.
Its 5 inch forged stainless steel, match-grade barrel includes a fully supported ramp and a 1:16 twist for 9mm. A GI-style short guide rod and bushing system maintains the traditional 1911 layout.
Controls and ergonomics include a skeletonized 3-hole trigger with an overtravel screw, a skeletonized commander-style hammer, a flat checkered mainspring housing, and both a thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump.
Practical sighting and slide features include low-profile 3-dot sights with a dovetailed white-dot front and a drift-adjustable white-dot rear. The slide has rear-only vertical serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port for reliable ejection.
Slide markings read GARRISON with the Springfield Armory crest, and the barrel hood is marked S.A. 9MM. Capacity is 9+1 with the included 9-round magazines, and the pistol is outfitted with thinline double-diamond checkered wood grips.
