What’s Included

This Model 990 AfterShock uses a gas-operated action and chambers both 2 3/4 and 3 in 12 gauge shells. The plain, no-rib barrel is cut to 14.75 in with a true cylinder bore, and the shotgun feeds from a 5+1 magazine. Right-side ejection and a tang safety round out the core operating features.
Controls are optimized for fast, confident manipulation: an oversized, knurled charging handle; an oversized bolt-release paddle; an enlarged, beveled loading port; an elongated elevator; and an anodized follower. The synthetic forend includes a retention strap, and the knurled magazine cap aids tool-free handling.
The birdshead AfterShock grip with a rubberized palm insert promotes a compact profile and secure purchase. Up front, a red fiber-optic bead provides a bright aiming reference; there is no rear sight. The receiver is drilled and tapped with three screw holes, and an M-LOK interface is located at the magazine-tube extension block for accessory mounting. Overall length is approximately 27.125 in, and the weight is about 6.0 lb.
Durability-focused materials and finishes include nickel-boron coating on the gas piston, magazine tube, hammer, and sear, plus uniform matte dark metalwork with black synthetic furniture and a Mossberg medallion on the birdshead grip. The steel receiver and barrel wear a matte blue finish. This configuration is cataloged under Mfg. Part No. 83001, carries an MSRP of $1,120, and is made in the USA.
