What's Included
- Colt Cowboy .45 Colt revolver
Chambered in .45 Colt, the Colt Cowboy is a six-shot, single-action revolver with a fluted cylinder and a 4.75 in barrel. It wears fixed sights consisting of a tall blade front and a square-notch groove in the topstrap for a simple, durable sight picture.
The revolver is all steel at approximately 40 oz, finished with a blued barrel and cylinder and a case color hardened frame. It features a checkered spur hammer and black checkered composition grips with Rampant Colt medallions.
Its transfer-bar safety and frame-mounted firing pin allow safe six-up carry while keeping the traditional single-action handling. The right-side ejector rod housing uses a crescent/serrated head, and the base pin is retained by a slotted screw.
Factory markings include the left barrel legend "COLT COWBOY .45 COLT" and the top barrel address "COLT'S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." A small Rampant Colt rollmark appears on the lower-left frame.
The TF-prefix serial format is typical for the Colt Cowboy line.
Produced for a short period from 1999–2003, the Colt Cowboy gained a 4.75 in barrel option reintroduced in 2002. This revolver was manufactured in 2002 and was assembled in the United States with some outsourced components.
