The M&P9 M2.0 Full Size is built around a stainless-steel slide and 4.25-inch stainless-steel barrel, both treated with Smith & Wesson’s Armornite/Melonite-class nitride finish. The polymer frame incorporates an embedded stainless-steel chassis for added rigidity.
This optics-ready model ships with the slide cut and a cover plate installed. It includes the S&W M&P M2.0 optics-mounting plate kit, providing mounting options for compatible pistol red dots as supported by the S&W plate system.
Controls and features are purpose-driven: striker-fired action, flat-face trigger with a tactile reset, trigger safety blade, and a loaded chamber indicator. The pistol uses bilateral slide stop levers, front slide serrations, an external extractor, and a sear-deactivation lever that allows takedown without pressing the trigger.
Ergonomics are addressed with aggressive grip texture and interchangeable palmswell backstraps (three spares included) to tailor fit. Tall iron sights and an integral accessory rail round out the configuration. This no-thumb-safety (NTS) variant offers a 17+1 capacity in a full-size M2.0 package made in the USA, and it includes both a Safariland 6354RDS ALS duty holster and a right-hand IWB holster.
