This Bicentennial submodel features the factory rollmark "MADE IN THE 200TH YEAR OF AMERICAN LIBERTY," a single-year 1976 marking. It is part of the Ruger Six-Series, the company’s first modern double-action revolver family.
The revolver is built in satin stainless steel, including the frame and fluted six-shot cylinder, with a 6 inch barrel. The barrel has an ejector-rod shroud and partial underlug, and the grip frame is the square-butt style.
Sighting equipment consists of an adjustable rear sight and a ramped front sight with a red/orange insert for visibility. The action is double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer.
Design features include investment-cast construction and Ruger’s transfer-bar safety. It wears factory checkered walnut grips with Ruger medallions and was manufactured in the United States.
