The Springfield Armory Hellion is the U.S. import version of the HS Produkt VHS-2, introduced in 2022 and built around a compact bullpup layout with fully ambidextrous controls. It features a 16-inch cold hammer forged CMV barrel with Melonite treatment, an adjustable short-stroke gas piston system, and reversible right/left ejection. A full-length 1913 Picatinny top rail with numbered T-marks and integrated flip-up sights rounds out a highly configurable, duty-focused design.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: There is very minor rust on the bolt face. Light, superficial scratches and blemishes are present on exterior surfaces.

This Hellion uses a short-stroke gas piston with an adjustable regulator to tailor operation to conditions. The non-reciprocating, ambidextrous charging handle sits under the top rail and includes a lockable forward-assist feature, supporting easy manipulation from either side.
The 16-inch barrel is cold hammer forged from CMV steel, treated with Melonite/nitride, and cut with a 1:7 twist to stabilize common 5.56 loads. It is threaded 1/2x28 and comes with a factory four-prong flash hider.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety selector and magazine release, and ejection is reversible for right- or left-side use. The rifle accepts AR-15/STANAG magazines and AR-pattern pistol grips, providing broad parts and magazine compatibility.
A full-length 1913 Picatinny top rail with numbered T-marks integrates flip-up iron sights. The polymer bullpup chassis includes an M-LOK handguard, an adjustable length-of-pull buttstock, and an adjustable cheekpiece to fine-tune fit. Markings include the Springfield Armory Geneseo, IL importer stamp and HS Produkt "Made in Croatia" origin.
