Built in the USA under Ruger stewardship, this 1895 Trapper carries the RM-prefix serial and a Mayodan, NC barrel address. The configuration includes a right-side loading gate and ejection port, a big-loop lever for gloved use, and a 5-round magazine tube in .45-70 Govt.
The 16.1 inch stainless barrel is cold hammer-forged and threaded 11/16x24. A perforated stainless muzzle brake is installed, and twist rate is 1:20 RH. The front sight is a ramp-mounted blade with a white insert and no hood; the rear sight has been removed.
An XS Sights Lever Rail is installed, providing a solid mounting surface in the scout position. The receiver is stainless steel with a satin/matte finish that matches the barrel.
The gray/black laminate hardwood stock has cut checkering, a rubber recoil pad, sling swivel studs, a grip cap medallion, and the red/white Marlin bullseye inlay. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches, and controls include a cross-bolt safety.
