Built on a stainless-steel frame and slide with brushed flats and matte/bead-blasted rounds and top, this Rail Gun blends durability with purposeful detailing. The slide carries front and rear slanted cocking serrations and a lowered and flared ejection port. The Colt National Match barrel is marked "COLT 45 AUTO N.M." and pairs with a standard GI recoil system and barrel bushing.
The pistol follows the proven 1911 single-action format and includes a checkered magazine release, a skeletonized three-hole aluminum trigger, and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer. Controls include a single-sided left thumb safety and an upswept beavertail grip safety with a memory bump. A flat mainspring housing and smooth front strap round out the frame setup, with an 8+1 capacity in .45 ACP.
Sighting is straightforward and durable via fixed low-mount dovetail 3-dot sights, front and rear. An integral Picatinny-style accessory rail on the dustcover provides mounting space for compatible accessories.
Double-diamond checkered hardwood grip panels with slotted screws add a traditional Colt look and positive purchase. The pistol was manufactured in the United States in 2012, with factory designation Model O and part number 01070RG. The RG serial prefix aligns with the Rail Gun series, as noted.
