The Springfield Armory Kuna 9mm brings a recent HS Produkt design to the U.S. market with a single-roller delayed operating system, a cold hammer-forged 6 inch threaded barrel with Melonite treatment and factory multi-port brake, and fully ambidextrous controls. Its monolithic 7075‑T6 aluminum upper integrates a full-length MIL-STD-1913 top rail and M-LOK fore-end, while hybrid metal flip-up sights and a Strike Industries FSA folding arm brace round out a compact, modern package. Made in Croatia and imported/marketed by Springfield Armory, this example includes five 30-round proprietary translucent magazines.

The Kuna’s operating system is a single-roller delayed blowback, delivering smooth cycling in a compact 9mm format. The 6 inch cold hammer-forged steel barrel is Melonite treated for durability, threaded 1/2x28 TPI, and ships with a factory-installed multi-port muzzle brake. Twist rate is 1:10 RH.
A monolithic 7075‑T6 aluminum upper provides rigidity and alignment, finished in Type III hardcoat anodizing. A full-length MIL-STD‑1913 top rail supports accessory mounting, and the integral M‑LOK fore-end offers direct attachment points along the handguard.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety, magazine release, and bolt release. The charging handle is folding, non-reciprocating, and reversible, configured on the left side from the factory for efficient manipulation.
Hybrid metal flip-up sights provide dual modes: a hooded post up front (with a dot when folded) and an aperture rear (with a notch when folded). At the rear, a Strike Industries FSA single-side folding arm brace mounts to the Picatinny end plate, aiding compact storage and transport. Unloaded weight is approximately 5 lb 5 oz.
